Either give us an idea of what you would like or we can work from a rough sketch – we will give you 3D designs prior to undertaking any work, so you can make adjustments at no extra cost, as we are happy to provide this service free. This helps us make sure we get it right.
What will my custom Battleboards cost?
Typically our custom terrain cost breaks down as follows. All boards are custom made to your own specific requirements so we can make just what you want. Battleboards prices vary depending on how much detail is required for each board, the cost approximately works out like this:
Each Battleboards is 2ft x 2ft and 43mm in hight – hills and cliffs are added onto this base board to get the desired effect.
£100 - simple construction - fully painted & flock, roads and tracks
£130 – medium construction - fully painted & flock, roads and tracks, rocky out crops and small rivers and hills 10mm or 20mm hight (suitable for 6mm to 28mm)
£150 – complex construction - complete custom made larger features – cliff faces, lakes & large rivers, urban with partial building structures etc. although this depends a lot on design.
Remember that you also get 10% discount on x8 boards or more 
Low Cost Design Service
We will help design your Battleboards, and through the use of the latest 3D software, you can view and make alterations to your boards before completion. We feel this is a fantastic way for you to see your boards prior to them being made, giving you the opportunity to get exactly the terrain you are after. We can show figures and some accessories on the designs too, you can see and plan your perfect layout without committing to their construction until you are completely satisfied we have covered all the aspects you need for your gaming.
We charge a starting fee for this service of £30 and will discuss with you if you have indeed have come up with a epic scale idea or deign, which may require further design.
Many players enjoy this process as it allows you to explore different possibilities like different colours finishes, sizes of hills and rock formations, even add a couple of extra boards to see what an increase in boards would look like. We give you complete flexibility as you creation takes shape.
The designs you produced for me are great, what happens now?
We charge you 50% of the cost of your project in advance, we will then make your Battleboards terrain and send you images of your finished boards. If you are happy, we will then request the final 50% payment plus any shipping costs. The shipping is worked out at the end, this is because we need to can weigh your completed boards before sending them to you. We can provide an estimation on shipping cost, if you let us have your full address and phone number, which we provide to the shipping company so they can contact you if they need to. All payments are done online via our Paypal account service which is easy to follow and secure.

Prices start from £80+vat (if in UK) and work up to £110 +vat for more complex designs. The best thing to do is get in contact with us and discuss your ideas. We will be happy to give a quote and work on a design with you.
Hi, I am looking to get a tables worth of terrain built for 40k. I have constructed my own grass based table that I’m very happy with but don’t have the time to construct all the terrain. I’m looking for tree’s, hills, crators and some 40k buildings. I am also interested in potentially getting a major building built, something that would take up 1 full tile of the standard warhammer board, I’d like this to be a bit of a show piece. Would love to get some thoughts on my options and a quote. Thanks

Trees have always been the bane of our lives, and I have had trouble finding something that we feel would work as well as the terrain we make. We have searched the entire globe looking for a suitable manufacture to no avail, until recently
We have now found someone who make awesome trees and the bazaar thing is they only live 20 miles from us… go figure.. soon to be available from our shop.
Hi Tobias, it really all depends on what you are after and how much details and accessories you require like buildings, also a lot depends on scale as you sort of get more terrain the smaller the scale. Not that that effects the cost much just how much you can get on each board. Best thing to do is come up with a rough sketch or reference images and email them to us at rich@battleboards.co.uk and we can have a look & sort something out
This is going to be a bit hard to describe since I cannot for the life of me find an image for it on Google. In the 10th Anniversary of No Quarter Magazine they show off a how to make section about a board. I would really like to own that board.
Now I don’t know much about your company or if that type of terrain is what you make, but I have the issue (I guess that’s a bit obvious) so I could always get scanned images of it.
Now I don’t know if I can actually go ahead with this, really depends on cost and if you can even do it, if not I will have to come back later and ask again but if I know you can make it I will definitely have to return.

We decided not to roll out standard board designs, like most other companies as we have found that players wanted quite varied designs, So we specialise in providing very unique boards designs, specifically for your gaming needs. Hi, I play flames of war and I was viewing your site and I had the idea of recreating the battle of Normandy with entrenched coastal guns cliff faces and a large beach. As well as this trenches for the defenders and a small village inland for an objective with bocage and fields at the back of the board. Is this do-able? In a 6′ by 4′ table setting

Yes, is the short answer, very do-able. We can build the terrain just how you want it, and Flames of War being 15mm you will get a lot of the terrain you need on a 6′ x 4′ table. We can cover a lot of ground so to speak at this scale. The best way forward would be to contact us via email at war@battleboards.co.uk, which I will do shortly. I can start putting a project together for you. We can then exchange reference images and I can send you some examples of layout that would be similar. Although we have not yet been ask to do a Normandy beach landing, but this would be one of my favourite terrain types I would like to make.
